Cinemark Centroamérica is part from the United States’ Franchise: Cinemark USA. In the market they are considered leaders with a high-selling ticket rate from users. Their cinemas with high-quality formats are the best in the region. Cinemark is a company that stays in touch with the cinematographic trends (movies, documentaries and much more).
When we started working with this brand in the late August, 2017, we discovered that the campaigns they had made were more confusing than convincing. The over saturated design and information was a problem. Their social media engagement and selling rate were so low that the results didn’t meet the customers expectations. Cinemark’s website was almost obsolete and mobile app wasn’t aligned with a user-experience interaction. The users didn’t know how to buy tickets and the benefits of it.

The main goal was to increase the engagement with users from each country on which Cinemark has presence in: with a higher rate of user interaction, boosting the social media traffic and with a user-friendly buying ticket system.
To achieve it, we started with a redesign based in the user experience and interaction. We set a data-driven strategy and budget plan for the brand. We developed different social media channels such as: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Spotify. Creating quality content for the company and increasing the engagement with each country’s audience.
The final step to achieve the client’s objectives was by developing an improved version for their website and mobile app. With a user-centered design, we increase the ticket and general sales. With the optimization of group segmentations, we increased the engagement in each country and gave the users more access (info. and benefits) when interacting with their closest cinemas, this meant delivering key content related to their specific geographical location.
